jacompas writes "Four Haitian movie producers and distributors will appear before a US Federal judge for Copyright Infringement on Thursday September 19 2007 at 9.00 AM at JUSTIA DISTRICT FEDERAL COURT.
This is the first time in the history of Haiti and Haitian cinema that a Haitian movie producer decides to fight other members of Haitian movie industry on the basis of Copyright Infringement. This is a Federal Offence in the United States

Haïti-société: Don Cato accusé dans l'affaire Jacques Roche

jacompas writes "Alby Joseph et Chéry Baubrun, les deux condamnés dans l'assassinat du journaliste/poète Jacques Roche, ont avoué à la justice l'implication du lead vocal du groupe Brother's Posse dans cette affaire.
Les deux individus respectivement, âgés de 22 et 16 ans ont obtenu leur sentence du juge Jean Claude Rigeur, le jeudi 30 août. Ils sont tous deux condamnés aux travaux forcés à perpétuité par le tribunal criminel siégeant sans assistance de jury à Port-au-Prince.
Lors d'une intervention dans une station privée de la capitale, Me Joseph Fanfan Jeudilien, représentant du Ministère public et substitut du commissaire du gouvernement près le parquet du tribunal civil de Port-au-Prince, a rendu public les aveux des deux condamnés.
